Andrew Mikhaiel
Ballet

Andrew Mikhaiel is a Canadian dancer, teacher, and choreographer with over 14 years of professional experience. Originally from Mississauga, he toured nationally and internationally as a company dancer with Ballets Jazz Montréal, performing works by renowned choreographers including Crystal Pite, Andonis Fonidakis, Aszure Barton, and Juliano Nunes. In addition to performing, Andrew served as the company’s Artistic Coordinator before being promoted to Artistic Manager. Currently, Andrew is performing as an ensemble dancer in the new musical production Evangeline.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a concentration in ballet from Marymount Manhattan College and is a certified acrobatic teacher through the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (B.A.T.D). Andrew’s passion for movement extends into yoga—he completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Yoga Renew and the NTY/Oxygen Express Methodized Training in 2025.
A dedicated educator, Andrew has been on faculty for BJM_360, NYCDA’s Winter Contemporary Intensive, Rutherford Movement Exchange, Candance Competition, VIEW Dance Challenge, and Northern Movement. He has also been a guest teacher and choreographer at various studios, schools, and dance institutions, including Steps on Broadway in NYC.
Andrew has taught, choreographed, and performed across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. He is passionate about developing dancers of all ages and abilities—helping them build strong technique, deepen their artistry, and connect to the joy of movement.
