Shannon Kaminski

Shannon Kaminski is a tap dancer, choreographer, and educator from Lombard, IL. A longtime scholarship recipient with the Chicago Human Rhythm Project—where she also performed and served on faculty during its 35th anniversary season—Shannon has shared her love of tap across the U.S. and Canada.

She is the Tap Director at Expressenz Dance Center, the 2024 Studio of the Year, where she founded the youth tap company NZ TapZ, now more than 50 dancers strong. Her credits include faculty and performances at festivals and events such as Little Rock Tap Fest, TapVibe, WING IT, BRAVO!, Canadian Dance Intensive, Indy Dance Fest, Streetz, VIEW Dance Challenge, and more.

In 2025, she published her debut children’s book, Tap Class Place, available online and in local bookstores.
