NEW FOR 2027

We are thrilled to announce that in 2027, we will be launching a brand-new structure for our prestigious title competition and introducing our new official title: VIEW Artist of the Year.

VIEW Artist of the Year in the Competitive classification will be broken down by Mini (4-8), Junior (9-10), Intermediate (11-12), Pre-Teen (13-14), Teen (15-16), and Senior (17-21) age divisions.

VIEW Artist of the Year in the Pre-Competitive classification will be broken down by Junior (4-10), Intermediate (11-14) & Senior (15-21) age divisions.

In addition to restructuring the age divisions, VIEW is proud to announce that we will be removing gendered divisions. Beginning in 2027, dancers of all genders will compete for one title within their respective age division.

The VIEW Artist of the Year title is determined using the following scoring criteria:

• 50% – Solo Performance
• 40% – Convention Classes (8% per class × 5 classes)
• 8% – Interview
• 2% – Opening Number Attendance & Rehearsal Process

Please Note:

• If an Opening Number rehearsal overlaps with your scheduled competition call time, no marks will be deducted for your absence.
• Pre-Competitive Title Contestants will have their two lowest Convention Class scores dropped. The average of their top three Convention Class scores will be used as their final Convention Class score.
